Cotton Duck | Surry Hills | Sydney

Clocking in: 05/02/11 @ 19:31
When I found out that Jared Ingersoll from Dank Street Depot was opening a new restaurant at Surry Hills in September, I immediately had it etched on my to-do list! So when the time came to choosing a place to have a farewell dinner with the extended family (my closest friends), Cotton Duck was unquestionably the perfect place to host such a remarkable event. I firstly would like to thank the entire staff at Cotton Duck for enduring the noise stricken behaviour of my friends (I really am sorry) and commend the friendly service that was provided, Jared however must take some responsibility for having a fantastic cocktail/wine/beer menu which obviously meant many had to be sampled. With a seasonal menu using sustainable ingredients and sourced from local farmers to promote the slow cooking movement, the innovative dishes available are all mastered with perfection. Even the wall is made with the environment in mind, with sprouts of living vegetation (all plants are native to the east coasst of NSW) slowly flourishing in its new habitat.
